Rental Fleet Program

We have found huge success in our bikes used for rentals at a few businesses on Vancouver Island. Our most notable success is Tofino Bike Co, in beautiful Tofino, British Columbia. They have run a large fleet of Cypre Bikes for the last 5yrs and could not be happier with their low maintenance, high quality and superior reliability.

Our margins per bike are small, so we don't have a lot of wiggle room on each bike, but we can offer a discount for larger orders. Or, if you are located on Island, we can offer free assembly, orientation, and personal delivery with a more modest discount. 

IMPORTANT - businesses that purchase a fleet from us MUST have:

  • a demonstrable plan for the care and maintenance of the bikes. Including a post rental safety check, a skilled and dedicated person who can keep up with minor maintenance items to ensure rider experience is positive and maintain the safe function of our bikes
  • a dedicated mechanic and/or convenient reliable access to an off site mechanic to complete larger regular and annual services.  

 

IN TOFINO - Our Exclusivity Agreement

Please note: we currently have an exclusivity agreement that applies to sales to businesses located in Tofino BC, and surrounding communities. Out of respect for Tofino Bike Co, a long standing partner of ours and a business that has been instrumental in our success, we have the following exclusivity agreement:

  • no other businesses in town can purchase and rent a fleet of Cypre Bikes to compete with them in the local beach cruiser rental market. Our bikes are their signature model and we have agreed to continue that relationship on these terms. 

Exceptions:

  • Hotels, B&Bs or Vacation rentals that offer rentals for free to their guests, with a maximum of 12 bikes in the courtesy fleet.
  • Businesses that currently have their own fleet of cruisers for rent, and have been in operation and renting beach cruisers for at least 5yrs, previous to their anticipated purchase of our Cypre Bikes.

IMPORTANT - for businesses within the town of Tofino, and surrounding communities, that do meet these exceptions, they MUST:

  • have a dedicated and qualified bike maintenance person on staff with a demonstrable plan for the care an maintenance of our bikes and clear protocol for post-rental safety checks to ensure well maintained, safe function of our bikes.
  • an overall regular maintenance plan for minor repairs as well as larger annual service work to ensure the well maintained, safe function of our bikes.
